We are seeking a Software Design Principal Engineer to actively contribute to the embedded software development of our state- of- the- art controllers. At Delta, you will thrive in an international and agile environment, collaborating with development teams across Norway, Switzerland, and Taiwan- and gain hands-on experience across the entire technology stack, from backend to frontend.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for our controller portfolio.
• Participate in defining software requirements.
• Contribute to software architecture discussions.
• Develop and execute unit- and integration tests.
• Support continuous improvement of processes, products, tools, and frameworks (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins, Icescrum).

What We expect from You

• Experience from similar positions and industries is an advantage.
• BSc. or MSc. degree in computer science or related field, equivalent experience may compensate for formal education.
• Proficiency in modern C++ and C
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, shell) and agile/scrum methods
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and Git
• Experience with unit- and integration testing

Knowledge and/or experience with some of the following technologies are a bonus

• Lua, Svelte, Catch2
• Embedded Linux (Yocto)
• Web UI experience (HTML, JavaScript)
• IT Security topics
