The role:
We are in search of a quality-conscious engineer, ideally specializing in electronics, possessing a solid grasp of business requirements. Effective communication skills are vital, enabling you to communicate quality requirements effectively across companies, countries, cultures, and languages.
As our new Quality Manager for Supplier Quality Management, you will oversee quality assurance concerning our suppliers and support our Sourcing team in auditing, approving, and enhancing key supplier relationships. Additionally, you will contribute to high quality across all processes within our technology and product lifecycle - from design and development through sourcing, manufacturing, assembly, sales, delivery, to field performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic input into Supplier Quality Management.
- Leading audit teams, conducting audits, and ensuring follow-ups with suppliers.
- Enforcing and coordinating supplier quality improvement programs, implementing quality tools and techniques to meet our standards.
- Coordinating and pursuing activities within Delta's continuous improvement program.
- Managing specific improvement projects.
- Promoting customer requirements internally and to suppliers.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in electronics, electrical engineering, or mechanics. Other formal technical education can be relevant.
- Well-documented international auditing experience.
- Relevant certifications as a Certified Lead Auditor.
- Minimum 5 years' auditing experience.
- Documented knowledge of relevant ISO standards.
- Risk management skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Documented knowledge of production processes, preferably both electronics and mechanical.
- Supply chain management knowledge.
- Experience from projects related to sustainability.
- Cross- cultural competence.
